3:42 am - Fucking corrupted police in JB
Other than getting cheap stuffs and cheaper petrol, i fucking hate JB now.

Let me tell u why.

Just last night, i rode in JB with my ex-polymates.

Then came a traffic light which was STILL green when I passed it. Just after i passed it, it turned amber and following it red.

In front of me there was a police station and a FUCKING MALAY POLICEMAN standing outside used a lighted stick to stop me and he said I BEAT THE RED LIGHT, when I DIDN'T !

Then that FUCKING MALAY POLICE said he's gonna summon me RM300!!! CHEEBYE.

So i kept argueing with that fucker, and he just repeatedly says "singaporean.. must be rich.. money is nothing", and later he asked me to give him RM70 then he'll let me off.

This is fucking BRIBERY, and i can't believe i have to bribe him to let me off something i didn't do.

In the end, i managed to argue till i reduced the price to RM30.

I remembered Lee Kwan Yew once said JB isn't a safe place, which got mahathir mad.
Know what? its just so fucking true.

There're so many theft and robbery cases there, and the worst part is, YOU NEED NOT NECESSARILY FEEL SAFER EVEN IF A POLICEMAN APPEARS.

I wonder what malaysia is doing in fighting corruptions.

5:00 pm - I'm Lost
I hate what I'm going through now...
I seem to be lagging behind everything in my life.

School work's piling up day by day, and now i don't even know where to start.
Piano exams are coming up in February, and by now i should've already been prepared, but I'm not.

Worst thing is, i seem to be very free everyday, but I just don't know what to do.

I'm totally disorganized.

Feeling lost is very depressing.

2:42 pm - Jason Mraz !!!!!!
Wow...

I've been listening to lotsa Jason Mraz hits recently..

I wasn't really interested in him initially, until many audiences, in AQH wrote in song requests every time i perform, for his songs, even though them knowing its a chinese cafe.

So i decided to finally check him out on what so great abt him.
I'm not an English pop person, so few English artistes ever amaze me, but this guy really did.

He's damn good in BOTH his singing and his guitar, cos usually singers are only gd at singing, and instruments comes in secondary.

He's a genius...
And i love his acoustic versions of his songs man...
I'm gonna learn up his songs!!!

Below are some vids to share...

3:14 pm - Still living in the world of Ah MEI !!!!
omg !

I juz went Ah Mei's concert last nite in SIS with rongting tricia and haoyuan.

In total, I've been to 4 concerts... Taoze, JJ, Caoge, and AH MEI... AND THIS CONCERT BEATS ALL other concerts I've been to!!!!

I was kinda hoping Xiao Jing Teng would appear as guest singer, and sing 一眼瞬间 and 愿谅我, but she has NO GUEST ARTISTES!!!
I think it would bring up the atmosphere even more if she had invited XJT!

Wow... i'm still living in her world.. lol...

10:40 pm - A long update on my life =).. school especially !!
Ok, another some time since I've last updated.
So long that I had almost lost track on updates of my life ever since I last updated. Haha.

So to start with:

SOXAL

For those who think i'm still working as a plant technician in SOXAL, I've resigned.
Reason being, it just isn't my kind of life.

I don't wanna step in the working society that soon. Its a real boring life working there. People are like much older than me, and its hard to find people of the same frequency with you, and this is very common with jobs in the engineering line, which i WAS in.

So if u've guessed it, I'm back to school !!! =)

SIM-UOL Banking n Finance

Yes, I'm now studying in SIM taking Bsc Banking and Finance under the UOL full time degree. After being in the working world and being back to school, I would say, school is a better place!

School is great, because people are of your similar age groups. Also I'm really glad I went for the 3D2N orientation camp, as i almost didn't wanna go. I love my OG ppl alot, and I'm glad we're all still close till now, and I'm glad I've made alot of new and wonderful friends.

What can i say, i seriously love school compared to the working world.
I have 3 yrs more to enjoy this b4 i really step out to work.

Music

I'm currently teaching pop music for guitar n keyboard cos i figured out i could earn more for doing this.

I'm teaching in Music Mocha music school, The 8th Note Music School, and Adams Apple Music School, which all ranges from teaching adults, all the way to secondary and primary schools.. haha, and the challenging part is teaching kids, not adults. how ironic eh..

I really hope i could be good enough one day to go into music full time. But i know i'm still not good enough. Yes i know my own standards, but i'll still be working hard.

Also a side note, i bought the new iPhone. And its a shit phone.
Wanna know why?
ask me in msn n i'll tell u a whole lot of reasons y not to buy iPhone.
Wasted my time to line up to buy and spending $608 for it.

PICTURES

Anyway... pictures speaks a thousand words...
Here're some pictures =)

I shall start with posting pics of the wonderful new friends i made during my FOC camp. I really love this bunch of OG peeps !

12:31 am - SD meeting and JiuJian's Concert
I went for SD meeting yesterday.

A very nostalgic feeling.

Brought back lotsa memories of the days when i was in NPSD.
The feeling came stronger when we started to sing the "Yong Eagles - Grow Now Together" song.

I love this song... and the lyrics are especially meaningful.
One of the best inspirational songs i would say.
However I'm still yet to know who composed this wonderful song.

Grow Now Together

Sometimes i feel that i don't know
Who or what am i
But then i know that i must strive
To keep a dream alive
For the world is out there waiting
For someone to make a change
As students we take this challenge
Tomorrow is our stage

Grow now together
Can't you hear our cries
Go now together
Change other people's lives
Smile now forever
Let's fill the world with joy
We'll make this our endeavour
Young Eagles let us fly

The sun is rising can't you see
It brightens up the sky
And that is how we'll live our lives
Come join me as we strive
For we know our mentor's calling
We must be strong and brave
We'll raise the flag of justice
Create a whole new age
Its good to be a student once again.

ITACSD... here i come !!!!

.....................

Ok I'm 1 week late for blogging this, cos i've been trying to source out for pictures of it...

Jiujian's concert !!! on 7th and 8th June...

My biggest professional performance I've ever performed, and working with a professional band.

I must admit that i had some withdrawal symptoms after the concert, and its been a long time since I've ever had this.

Concert was great, and i'm damn glad i had this great chance to perform.

One of the people that impressed me most is my Music Director Ruth Ling.
She's just 4 years older than me, but has an amazing number of achievements under her belt, and has never cared to flaunt them.

Whats more, keyboardist for Stephanie sun's world tour concert n music director for concerts of many artistes like wanfang etc...
I was gawed when she plays the piano. Woohoo.. I WANNA PLAY AS WELL AS HER IN FUTURE. My determination in music.

I'm still waiting for Jiujian to send me the professional videos and photographs of the whole concert, which includes practice times etc.

But anyway, i'll do with these first, got it from jason's multiply account...

Everyone after the concert...

4:17 pm - Malaysia and their cheap petrol
Sigh..

After today, I'll have to stop 1 of my usual habbits of riding to Malaysia to pump cheap petrol.

I think Malaysia is dumb.

Seriously.

They think we're just there for their cheap petrol?

Have their government ever realised that a significant portion of their business comes from Singaporeans, whom are attracted to their cheap petrol, and would at the same time, patronise their shops for goods ?

No, I don't think they're smart enough to realise this point.

I do ride to JB sometimes to buy stuffs, but ONLY because of their cheap petrol, that i would sometimes patronise their shops after pumping, since I'm already in JB.

But now without the cheap petrol, I see no point in going JB anymore.

1:10 am - I hate Chicken Pox
I seriously hate chicken pox.

Its no joke.
I had high fever everyday
I had oucers in my mouth and throat that i couldn't even swallow
I'm gonna have 100++ scars over my body + my face!!!

And further more, this virus came at the super wrong time!

I can't work, and no work means no money.
I had to miss NDP trainings which I've missed quite a few already
I had to miss Eemei's bday party
and I'm not allowed to perform later for my group's Anniversary show in Ai Qing Hai

Anyway I've kind of recovered last sat, but I was just afraid it would spread.

I went for Hingboon's bday chalet anyway, but i went later in the night when most have left, and its cos he asked me to go still, knowing tt i'm having chicken pox. So we played mj throughout the night.

The saddest part is the Anniversary show that I'm gonna miss.
They didn't allow me to perform for fear I'll be spreading to ppl, cos they're expecting full house for that night.

Oh watever.
Shit does happen sometimes.

Anyway... this is our poster for the show later
Sighs...

10:38 pm - Chicken Pox..... and News n more news....
In case some of you don't know, I'm down with chicken pox these few days.

The feeling is really F**KED up.

In all times, I must get it now. How i wish i got it during my NS days, den i can claim up to 2 weeks of mc, and get FREE medication.

Now isn't the right time for it.
MC means i can't go to work, especially at this crucial moment when my bank a/c is running dry. Also the medication costs me $89 !!!!...... $18 for consultation + $70 for anti-viral medication + $1 for medical charge.

My bank a/c has been on the brink of running dry many times ever since SAF stopped paying me $800/mth after i ORD-ed.

Moreover the poxes are spreading to my face!!!

Argh !!! I don't mind it spreading to ANY part of my body except my face.

My face seems to be the prime point of any disasterous hits. First to my pimple outbreak back in 2003, then to my motorbike accident in july last yr which left me 2 major scars, and now my chicken pox scar.

ARGGGHHH !!!!!!

Mahathir bin Mohamad

I've been following the case of our dearest Mahathir.

I still remembered the times when i was a kid, news hit headlines about him having countless issues with us during his regime, and whenever these issues are unresolved, he would bring out his trump card -- To cut off our water supply!!!!

That certainly got our then PM/SM LKY worried. I still remembered our dear LKY making a special trip to m'sia juz to make an apology about mentioning JB of not being a safe place, which got Mahathir making a real big fuss, and which un-ironically EVERYONE would agree with LKY, judging from the high crime rates.

Just days before he steps down, he then makes insulting comments on many different countries, especially Australia, commenting about them "stealing" the land of the Aborigine's.

Now out of power, he's leads critics on the step-down of Abdullah, and now? to resign from UMNO, hoping many others would follow him, but in turn only an insignificant few followed suit. Even one of his sons didn't follow. How amazing.

Its entertaining reading up news after news about him.

I wonder how more "ironical" this man can be.

-------------

I've finally realized the risk of blogging after hearing the news on our dear racist blogger  Fragrant Prince.

For those who're unaware of this news, he was arrested for posting insulting racist remarks in his blog. News about him on Channelnewsasia.

Well.. i did a google search on him, and I managed to find his post.

This lesson teaches us that if we're gonna post insultive remarks, we'd better put it as a private or a password protected entry.

Anyway.. i managed to find his FRIENDSTER, his SLIDES profile, and his BLOG  too !!!
Cool eh? I'm quite proud of myself. Lolz.

Anyway, here’s what he wrote:

Weirdo In 1st World Country

See, to me…no matter how highly Singapore sits on the map there is still the part we cant erase… and thats the heartlanders and those gross out people in society… why cant we be like Milan where everyone is so well dressed and well-mannered??

We shall not even touch on politics on Mas Salamat, which of course… if you have realised, i didnt bother talking about it, coz there are many other bloggers conversing on that.

So so so… what is this pathetic malay man (again, it have to be a MALAY!!!!) doing in the train?
well, he was already in the train when i boarded and there he sat, unaffected by his surroundings, smelling like he didnt showered in years and wore some really scary dirty clothes and had a dirty muddy bag with him too, in it were empty bottles which looks used… to many, he may seem a poor man or a beggar.. but… to me.. he’s wasted !!

I mean… wassup with all the pretentious looks and actions for man….go get a job or better yet, make himself useful and learn how to start a fire using charcoal.. as it all lies in their blood…. SATAY SATAY!!!!

Aiya….stupid MALAYS!!

Even if you are a Malay and am reading this… good for you..coz this is my personal blog and i can say what i deem fit…. if u wana defend yourself…. i suggest you arm youself with education and a motor mouth to compete against me.. else dont bother… coz i will bet my life on the line that, should you challenge me in a conversation… you will lose like what a true malay would…. LIKE FUCK !!!

GET LOST!!

1:24 am - A new chapter of my life, and music
In a few hours time, a new chapter of my life begins...

I'm starting my FIRST proper job tmr as a chemical process technician in SOXAL, a gas company, managing their chemical plant in Woodlands.

Seriously speaking, I'm still in a dilemma on what i wanna choose in life. I may or may not take up the offer from SIM, or I may be flying to aussie next yr for studies, or i may juz take up part time studies in sg for a degree. I'm gonna take 1 step at a time.

Anyway my first proper job's starting in a few hrs.
I'm excited.
Looking forward to it.

------

I've been really busy with music for the past 2 mths, performances afer performances be it the cafe or outside contacts, just come on and on. I got to work with different singers of different abilities, be it high profile celebrities or a "nobody".

I realised an irony that the high profile singers are usually alot more humble and not arrogant compared to certain singers who achieved nothing, constantly thinking they're great, and demanding every minute detail.

Maybe its because these high profile singers are humble, thats why they made it far.

------

For some of you who've known, I performed with SSA's Red Band last Friday as the keyboardist for Ah Kiat (阿吉仔)'s concert.
For those who may not know him, he's a celebrity in the Hokkien scene in Taiwan, who once went for elections b4.

Ppl at our age dun really know him, but i was surprised when he went to the kopitiam for some snacks, and so many uncles n auties came approaching him.

It was a Hokkien band performance, my FIRST time performing those Getai kinda music.
With the lightings + music, I felt i was in a Kotai Band... haha

It was a gd performance, but too bad they didn't allow video takings this time.
Wasted.

I like performing in soka.
Because I don't have to live by standards and worry if my performance is likeable.
And i can be myself, than putting up a mask on stage.

Anyway below are some pics of us...

10:40 pm - ORD LOH !!!!!!
2 yrs... long or short, its finally over. Really.

Good times, bad times, many things happened through my ns life which is too long to be elaborated.

I remembered how much i dread booking in to camp every sunday night 2 yrs ago and feeling so high spirited every friday whenever i book out during my 1 whole year as a trainee. All the tekan sessions, regiments etc etc etc...

Its finally really over.

I feel that I've changed, or should I say, I'm gonna change my perception on how I'm gonna handle situations.

A very vaulable lesson I've learnt...
To help ONLY your true friends,
cos only true friends are worth your help, and there's no point helping if your help isn't or even MAY not be appreciated.

Selfish? Maybe, but i guess i'll be living by this principle for all future senarios unless something else changes my mind.

....

Similar to all guys on their ORD day,
when i received my pink ic... the feeling was...... INDESCRIBABLE...

i still can't believe that everything has juz ended.

....

And juz like whenever every phase of my life has completed...

A chapter of my life has juz ended and a new one will begin soon. Mayb to studies? or I may juz start working...

I'm gonna take 1 step at a time.

But for the meantime, i'm gonna be a bummer for 1 mth then i'll decide wat to do.

I think i seriously deserve this break... LOL

3:05 pm - Valentine's at Ai Qing Hai cafe
Woot.

Performed in Ai Qing Hai last nite for Valentine's Day.
Me, Jiehao, Peipei and Yingying.
I would say its one of my best performances i had so far..

It was full house,
and performing for all the couples below stage was really a great satisfaction.

Lots of love messages written for us to read out,
and some audiences even came on stage to express their love to their valentine.

There was also this guy called Marcus tt came up to express his love, till he almost cried.
I remembered he said something like "I've missed out many opportunities, done some wrong things, but i'm glad that we're eventually together", and sang tao ze's - Ai Hen Jian Dan for her on stage.

I think if i were a girl sitting down there, i would be touched by all the comments written.
Some pointers i learnt to be sweet, cos some ppl always say i'm not sweet enough. lol

Then an audience wrote up a reply for him:

Photobucket

well these are juz some of the love messages written for us to read out.

12:38 am - Back to the dentist.... ai qing hai
I remembered when i was a boy, i used to be very scared of the dentist.
I used to cry on some visits there, because every visit means plucking my tooth.

Well approximately 15 years later, i visited the dentist again!
haha...

I juz had 2 of my wisdom tooth plucked out today, and the feeling is...
PAINFUL!!!!

Never had i remembered feeling so much pain when i last plucked my tooth 15 yrs ago.
My gum is painful, and its still bleeding!

.........

12:46 am - Summary of events....
This is a super out-dated entry,
but anyway... its a brief summary of events happened in December 2007 to now..

NDU
Langkawi...
My last overseas trip b4 i ORD. haha, wasn't as fun as taiwan though, but i bought lotsa "stuffs" back. (see photo)

Anyway... i'm ORD-ing in 1mth and 2 weeks time. Time flies, and this week is my junior batch's Hellweek. Haha, seeing them going thru it really brings back lots of painful memories of my hellweek 1.5 yrs ago. Lol

Music
Been very busy everyday learning and practicing new songs, especially for the ultimate rendezvous concert for soka, for music dreamer cafe, and a little of outdoor event paid gigs.

Been busy... and certain events caused stress levels which caused tempers raging.. But overall, the results were fulfilling.
Afterall, its music that i'm busy with, which i enjoy doing most. And most of all, i'm paid this time, which pays my efforts off, and getting me that extra pocket money. =)

Musicdreamer cafe and Muchuan
I must say this place is very different compared to muchuan.

Other than being paid this time, musicians there are alot more professional, more fun, more customer crowds, and most of all, i feel my music is alot more appreciated. haha

Took part in a few major event shows like Christmas Eve Countdown, 2007 New yr's eve countdown, and also involved as a keyboardist in a ROM reception.

Though i'm no longer in muchuan, but memories there would last forever. I'll never forget my dang members william, jiayin, zhikang, jessica, kenneth, that we used to perform every Monday. Also not forgetting the manager yongzhuan, alan and gang that came to our performances regularly, and Alicia, the muchuan boss.

Though there's alot of different judgements of alicia, but afterall if i hadn't had the chance to train up in muchuan, i doubt i would even pass musicdreamer cafe's audition. It was still a gd training ground for me.

....................

Overall i must say i enjoy my life now.
ORD-ing soon, and i'll be embarking in a new life in a short while.
Guess i should be working for a year?
and maybe find a overseas university. But i'll take things 1 step at a time.

I only knew abt his concert today, after hearing the news saying its sold out within 4 hrs after its open for sales. So i did a google search on when's his concert n stuffs, den it led me to ebay, and i saw tickets are already bidding at $700+++.

Then sistic site came back working, and wtf, both 18th and 19th Jan tickets are all sold out!

His concert is one concert tt i can put down any commitments i have to go. But now..... ARGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Anybody got his tickets and willing to sell me?

2:34 pm - Last Performance in Muchuan 29/10/2007
Its sad.

Our last performance in muchuan last nite. 4 yrs of my stay in muchuan ended there.

The thing I miss most is all the ppl there, especially my current dang members, william jessica zhikang jiayin and kenneth, who gave me lots of wonderful memories to keep.

Thinking about it, 1 mth ago i was so set on leaving due to some reasons, but now that its finally time to leave, the she3 bu4 de2 feeling started kicking in.

6 mths working with this dang passed fast. I'm now starting to think back on the 1st time we met, how things got on, how we slowly got our customer base, the good and bad times we went through, and until our last performance last night.

Last night, i was really touched by what our regular customers did for us. Knowing its our final performance, they did surprises for us like making banners, bringing light sticks etc etc etc, and i felt like i was playing for a concert with our fan club members supporting us. Lol

Anyway, all good times will come to an end, and its the wonderful memories that we'll keep forever. I'm glad our paths once crossed and its sad that every1 will be going separate ways from now on.

Below is a pic and a youtube vid of our last song last night.
It was an emotional night.

This is what our customers did for us !
Really touched by all these..

12:16 pm - TV shows
Wow! I can't believe i just watched 早安老师 (zao an lao shi) on channel 8 !!!!

This is soo damn nostalgic.
I still remember it was my MUST watch TV show those days, under... SBC? lol.
Those who were borned in the mid 80s would understand why. haha.

It brings back lotsa memories in primary school.
The fights, creating trouble for teachers, catching tadpoles n fishes in drains after school, playing Zero Point, Hop-scotch, Block catching etc.. wow.

I also remembered the rough brown recycled papers for worksheets, sharity elephant, young zoologist/botanist etc, BATA shoes...

After school, transport was non-aircon SBS bus with red cushion wooden seats, using pink bendable mrt cards to pay, and folding heart shapes with the bus ticket.

Watching m'sia channels were common cos SBC doesn't provide enough cartoons. Those days were Ninja Turtle, Transformers, Heart bears, Captain Planet. Not forgeting movies like Little Mermaid, Beauty n the Beast, Mickey Mini-Mouse Donal Duck etc. It doesn't seem to be popular among kids these days

.....

I feel that TV shows have changed tremendously through the last decade. Quality may have improved, but i feel the stories don't have the lasting touch that would make ppl remmeber it for life.

I could remember i was so crazy abt this show i pestered my mom to buy me the collectables cassette tape for it.

Also not forgetting other great shows like Yang Guang Lie Che, Qi Ye Qiao Jia Ren, Dou Fu Jie, The Unbeatables I and Jing Zhen Tou.

....

I wonder what are the shows now that would create impacts on kids these days, what are the childhood games they would remember for life?

Maybe when they reach my age, they would blog abt remembering Ratoulette, Finding Nemo, Toy Story? And they would say those days PSP, xbox 360, PS3 was the best console and remember playing GTA, winning 11? Mayb these would be their childhood memories. Mayb they won't even think of blogging, lol just like how IRC and ICQ became super out of trend.

While mine was... Black n white Gameboy, 16 mp sega saturn, Nintendo and my favourite games used to be super mario and sonic, bomber man and street fighter. Lolz

....

Anyway I also found this on the net...
hope u guys enjoy...
